The Caswell Council for the Arts is pleased to announce our 38th Juried Art Show exhibit from September 9th - October 4th, with an opening reception on September 9th from 2-4pm.  Adult artists (18 and older) of two-dimensional work through North Carolina and Virginia are invited to enter the show. 

All artwork must be delivered to the Caswell Council for the Arts to be juried for the show.  Please view the link below for details and paper submission form, or click on the Juried Art Show link to the left for online submissions.

Juror: Paul Minnis

Paul Minnis is a lifetime professional artist whose work includes acrylics, oils, watercolors, and pottery.  After earning a BS from Edinboro State University in PA and an MS from Pennsylvania State University, Minnis launched his teaching career at East Carolina University, where he later became Chair of the Ceramics Department after doing post graduate work at Rochester institute of Technology.  He has had a long and successful career as a professional painter and potter in the Triangle area, with pieces at several museums. He was one of the first artists at the Little Art Gallery in Raleigh, where his work was exhibited for over 25 years.   He is well known in Caswell County for his breathtaking watercolor paintings and prints of the Caswell County Courthouse.    

Caswell Council for the Arts" is a 501(c)3non-profit organization.

Our mission: To increase arts awareness, educate our citizenry, provide positive opportunities for exposure to the arts, and to nurture local creative expression.
