Caswell Council for the arts

Since 1977, the Caswell Council for the Arts has kept the arts alive in Caswell County.  Through the Lee Fowlkes Visual Arts Gallery, arts education classes, performances, special events, arts opportunities for our youth, and our permanent arts collection, we continue that tradition to this day.

On May 18, 2019 The Caswell Council for the Arts will present our “Southern Roots Festival,” celebrating the arts, music, and creative traditions at the roots of Southern Culture.  The event will take place outdoors at the Warren's Store at 33 Main St. in Prospect Hill, NC.  It will feature live music, an artist and crafters' market, creative activities, antiques, historical tours of the Warren Store, and a variety of Southern food and craft beverages.  Admission and parking are free!  We are currently seeking artists and crafters and antique dealers who wish to exhibit at the festival, especially those whose work ties into the “Southern Roots” theme of the festival.

This project was supported by the North Carolina Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, with funding from the National Endowment of the Arts
